What is Winter Ball?

Winter Ball are indoor sessions for players to prepare and refine their skills in preparation for the upcoming 2025 Spring season!

 

2025 Winter Programs

This Winter COMBA is offering two streams of baseball programs: Grassroots Recreational and Competitive High Performance.

 

Grassroots Recreational

All players are welcome to sign up for this fun and engaging option! Players will have an opportunity to focus on skills through station drills and test their knowledge of the game. The format will vary by age group, but sessions will be predominantly skill and mini games.

 

TIMING: Jan 9 - Mar 7, 2025

 

Age Groups Offered:

8U/9U (2017 & 2016) - Practice Thursdays 3:45-4:45 PM (MNP Place) (1 session a week)

11U (2015 & 2014) - Practice Fridays 3:45-4:45 PM (MNP Place) (1 session a week)

13U (2013 & 2012) - Practice Fridays 4:45-5:45 PM (MNP Place) (1 session a week)

15U (2011 & 2010) - Practice Fridays 4:45-5:45 PM (MNP Place) (1 session a week)
 

What if my kid plays other sports and can’t make it to every session?

Winter Ball is a short season and a more flexible program than Spring. Many kids play two or more sports during the Fall/Winter. If your child will make 75% or more of the Winter Ball season, you should sign up! All we ask is that you work with your child's coach to ensure they know when your player will not be in attendance.

Competitive High Performance

Highly suggested for players who played at the HP, AA or AAA levels in 2024 Summer Season and/or the 2024 Fall Season.

This is a competitive format focused on advanced theory, enhanced training and skill development.

Note: Coaches or Division Directors may move players to the Grassroots Recreational division for safety and developmental purposes if there is a skill discrepancy.

13U HP (2013 & 2012) - Practice Thursdays 4:45 - 5:45 PM (MNP Place)*

These HP programs will also rotate through sessions at the Yardhouse on Sundays 10 AM - 12 PM.

*This 13U HP class is designed for players wanting to play AA in Spring 2025. Refunds will only be offered to players signed up for this 13U HP class that make the 13U AAA roster.  13U AA Spring Tryout information will be released in January after the AAA team announcement.
